Nubar Blue Raspberry

So, today I gonna show you Nubar Blue Raspberry from Jellybeans collection. I don't think blue raspberries can be this lovely turquoise color so I have no idea why they gave this polish such a strange name. Maybe they got a marketing research that showed food reference in naming adds 28% in sales.

Anyway. Blue Raspberry has a mixed "crelly" formula, it is thin and runny as a jelly nail polish but at the same time rather pigmented like a cream. I had a bit of trouble applying it. When I tried applying thin layers there was some unevenness in color, but when I went for a thicker layer it started showing the unevenness in layers (but no bubbling!). I still think the better way is to go with thin coats.

Blue Raspberry is rather sheer, there definitely will be some visibility of your nail line.

I've waited 10 minutes between layers just to be sure they are dry. I applied 3 coats (some thicker than others) and covered everything with Insta-Dry by Sally Hansen. After three days the manicure was still good as new which is the usual story with all Nubar polishes I've tried so far.

So, onto the swatches!

In daylight, inside. Note that the color is exactly as in the bottle:

See how much more green looks compared to the usual bright blue color:

With necklace from Accessorize, note the VNL:

The bottom-line: Nubar Blue Raspberry is a beautiful nail polish for spring and summer, but you need to bear in mind its "crelly" formula, this is not a one-coater. I am planning on doing a 2-colored manicure with it and Nubar Coral Cozumel some time soon.
